Modeus is delighted to announce that we have implemented DiamondCare electronic controlled drug register across all 11 Carinity Residential Aged Care sites in Queensland.
DiamondCare is a comprehensive electronic controlled drug register platform specifically designed for Aged Care facilities, enabling paperless controlled drug management of both resident and imprest registers. The platform improves administrative efficiencies, streamlines stock ordering and enables greater transparency between resident medications and the pharmacy through integration with pharmacy controlled drug register software. DiamondCare also improves controlled drug governance and compliance via intelligent functions such as real-time alerts and customisable reports that help to reduce drug diversion, provide better auditing capabilities and reduce time spent on medication investigations.
Carinity CEO Jon Campbell commented: “When Modeus met with Carinity’s leadership team to discuss and demonstrate the DiamondCare platform, we realised how the platform could improve our management and recording processes for our controlled drugs. Carinity places great importance on medication compliance, therefore the DiamondCare platform appealed to us. After the success of the first pilot, we planned a rollout to all of our facilities together with Modeus’s implementation team, which has been successfully completed.”
Carl Zufi, CEO of Modeus commented; “Modeus are proud to partner with Carinity in rolling out DiamondCare to their network of residential Aged Care homes across Queensland. Our Training and Implementation team have worked closely with Carinity’s clinical staff to ensure a smooth transition from paper to electronic recording of controlled drugs and it is pleasing to hear that the system has been well received by all facilities.”
